My horse has been diagnosed with shivers. Although quite mild. Other than on the ground moving in small circles or backing up he works normally.
Do I keep working him? What can I do for him?

Mine shivers. He's still able to be shod behind, so he's not that bad, but the main issue is shoeing. He finds rein back tricky and will never score highly for that but otherwise shown no issues with power in jumping or in taking his weight behind with the dressage.

ETA my main concerns have always been keeping him shod (he used to be BF but his feet just wear too quickly) and the possible deterioration over time... Mine competes at Novice dressage and jumps 80-90cm at home but has schooled over be100 fences with extra scope so no back end power problems at all.
