Hi, can anyone suggest any good under saddle pads with shock absorbent qualities? Does anybody know what Show jumpers wear under their saddles? I know if the saddle fits correctly you shouldn't really need anything else but I am aiming to jump big courses with my horse and would like her to be as comfy as possible especially as she balloons a fair deal and I come down on her back quite hard. I'm not keen on pure gel things as I have heard a lot of bad about them but has anybody tried a Wintec comfort pad? Thanks for any suggestions :)

Whatever you do, bear in mind that you'll be putting additional bulk underneath your saddle; which will (obviously) effect the fitting of it.

The pure gel pads are usable if you put them on TOP of your normal numnah/saddle cloth, and directly underneath the leather panels of your saddle.

Sheepskin is supposed to be good, but does add bulk.

Sorry don't know about any specific brands/makes.

If the issue is you landing down hard then get working on your core strength, fitness and balance and that will be far more effective than any pad!

It only happens occasionally because she's green and either takes a stride out or jumps a foot higher than the fence and I get launched out of the saddle as I am not expecting it. I am infact very fit but do not see it coming :/ Thank you though.
