If we tie it in with how most eventer's toplines look then I'd say the saddles don't fit in the first place and a fancy pad ain't gonna fix it. Mind you, to me, correct fit is about allowing the horse to move correctly, healthily, and so many horses are being trained to move in ways that aren't healthy, that I'm not sure how you DO find a "correct fit"...

I think she is trying to go down the route of the pad offering back protection for the horses rather than improving fit, shock absorption etc. In Dr Marlins tests they came about middle of the road of pads from my posts above, there were others that performed as well or better
 
But what IS protection if not improving fit and shock absorption? Saddle pads are SO unscientific which is why I generally only recommend foams, other hi tech materials that are a known quantity with a ton of testing data available. A pad that takes an upholstery foam (and quite an old one unless they've changed it in recent years, the company has been around a long time in Italy) to make a pad for something as fast moving and complicated as the horse-rider interface isn't going to be my go to unless testing in use, or my personal experience, is beyond doubt.

I would rather know the material properties and compare against others, then use my own eye and experience, than testing the pads "scientifically" which, like so much equestrian "research" often doesn't prove what we think it does, or at least shouldn't be extrapolated as far as it usually is. "Never use elasticated girths" anyone?!

She was commenting on quite a few but I think they got a bit nasty so turned them off! It’s probably actually got some traffic to their site to be fair the number of people who have posted their own videos about it 🤪
