*SHOCK* Warmblood still alive in LW TO.

My warmblood is in naked on boxrest due to sprouting an abcess and is fully clipped..... hes perminantly fat too - so some of the stereotypes with him constantly being injured :p.

I'm on the verge of giving up trying to convince others that it is infact possible for a TB to live out.. ALL WINTER.. sometimes even without hard feed!! :eek::eek::rolleyes:
 
Lol, my Don Schufro WB positively thrived in a LW rug 24/7, on the edge of a moor! My Contender WB is the same, although I did have to persuade him that he wouldn't melt in the rain, and that the suckled cows next door wouldn't eat him (he's still not quite convinced on that one though)!
 
LOL My arab gelding is out 24/7 naked and just about still alive too. I did put a rainsheet on my mare for the first time today but regretted it when I saw the sun come out later! It really is hot hot hot. Feel sorry for all the rugged up to the nines neddies!
 
I put one of the SJs out naked the day after being clipped, my boss saw him and got him in as "she did not want his hair to grow from getting cold", i did point out to her that he was toastie warm to touch from being in the sunshine (it was at least 17degrees) and that it is good for them to get the sun on their backs every now and then, sure she thought he was gonna catch hypothermia!!!
