I have received an email from the owner of Fudge for those that remember I went to look at him a few months ago and he ended up being lame.... so I didn't end up with him otherwise by god I would've taken him he was lovely...
well owner had him looked at and checked by professionals and vets sadly he was diagnosed with sidebone on both front's and some other ailments I am to believe, although I have not and will not ask what these were...

I appreciated the email as I had kept in quite regular contact with his owner and tonight she sent me an email informing me that she made the most difficult decision a horse owner could ever do and PTS she bred him so has more than likely affected her deeply.

He was such a funny cheeky lad too....

RIP Fudge... kick your heels up and have lots of fun up there with the others....
xx

What a shame but a very sensible decision - I imagine it was not easy to make.

You sound as if you were fond of him but still a bit of an escape for you really!

I was fond of him yes been to visit him a few times he was ever so gentle for such a big lad.
his sidebones were fractured :(
she did what was best for him...

How very sad. Fortunate though that he went while he was still in the home that he knew, he sounds as though she cared very much. He must have been special for him to have made such an impression on you. RIP Fudge.
