My Baby Girl dolly was put to sleep very very unexpectedly today and she was only a year old(shetland pony).
She was laying down and couldn't get up no matter how hard i tried she just wasn't strong enough. Vet came and spent a few hours with her we got her up with vet holding her back end and me at the front but she was shaking to bad didnt have the strength.
I said i dont want her to suffer. Vet checked her heart and she had a murmur and her heart was racing very very fast.
So we both took the hard decision to say good night and put her to sleep.
My son sat down beside her and gave her hay and a feed from his hand as she was still eating well.
Then i stayed in while the 2 vets gave her the sleeping injection.
So here is to my baby girl dolly who at 1 years old was put to sleep.
rest well and sleep tight R.I.P Dolly
