Would anyone be interested in donating old tack/bits/headcollars etc to Prince Fluffy Kareem? This is a charity that helps horses in Cairo, Egypt. They are desperate for anything that can help; from tack to wormers and medication - I'm sending a small package across soon, so any donations would be a great help for them.

Please see their Facebook page - warning of some very upsetting and graphic photos

They do fantastic work!

I think I remember reading on one of their posts that there may be issues with sending stuff over, and that its best to send it with a visiting volunteer.... but I may have just made that up in my head :o

I have an address for one in England I'll have a look for it. You can also message them and they will pm an address. I think they have an account set up for donations too.

^ Me too, I'll have a look through the tack room as I'm sure there are some things that would be worth sending over. They do an incredible job. I'm glad I spotted this as I remember reading something on here about them a while ago but I could never re-find the page.

I have some stuff i can send, a few hanging cheek and full cheek snaffles, and i expect i have some dead sheep around. Can someone PM me address?
would they want headcollars?

I've just been on their facebook page and it says:

Contributions can be sent via Paypal to princefluffykareem@hotmail.co.uk (Preferred currency is GBP but this PayPal account will accept all currencies)

UK Residents can use the (PFK) account of Emma Thompson: Natwest Sortcode 524142 Account Number 48150428

then further down it says....

We get many messages from followers who would like to send us used tack. Due to the very unreliable Egyptian postal system as well as customs wanting taxes and bribes, it is not possible to post items directly to us in Egypt. To ensure delivery all items must be couriered in by someone visiting Cairo, usually Marte from Norway or Emma from England. Due to limited luggage allowance we prioritise wound treatment products, wormers, fluffy nosebands and girth covers. If you would like to send something, please send us a message to get the address.

I've given Emma stuff to take and have seen it in use :)
