Absolutely disgusted. How can somebody let things get that bad?

Is it pride, not wanting to ask for help, or admitting to financial difficulty?

It's beyond me!!

Truly disgusting case of neglect.

I have to say though, it is so nice to see them happily grazing in their new grass and the mare munching her hay with baby at foot with a nice straw bed. I bed that hay never tasted so good!

Sorry! I can't watch it after looking at the other posters comments. Last year I watched some Peta footage about the fur trade in China and that STILL haunts me. I feel so bad that I can carry on with my own happy life while torture and animal murder goes on. PS. I won't subject anyone to it, but please do not buy anything that looks remotely furry from China as animals have suffered unspeakable torture to produce them. They often try to make them look like fake fur too.

This is the farm near where I live, I still can't believe they didn't go for prosecution because although it got the horses signed over to WHW, it means that the people who did this are free to buy a whole load more and let it happen all over again.....

Terrible to see such neglect and cruelty. Can I just ask - is this organisation what used to be the ILPH?

Im not easily upset, and never have really been badly affected(sp) by some videos ive seen. How ever this one made my gag. How anyone, can treat horses in such condition beats me. Surely its better to ask for help than let them get in that state.

Atleast their in better hands now.

I remember this video from a month ago. The farm is literally a few mins drive away from where I grew up and where my mum still lives. Cant believe it was so close to home. The horses cant really be seen front the narrow country road which goes past it and it is so rural there. About 6yrs ago I worked for a woman just up the road from the farm and she hated the people who lived there, she always said they didnt look after their horses. Its quite ironic that the woman I worked for had a small horse charity and rehabilitated horses. Very sad

After reading all the comments I was terried to actually watch the video

However I decided that I should have a look and cannot believe how a barn can be full of carcusses and just wonder how long each horse had been surrounded by their dead friends, before their eventual death

... and seeing the dead foal in the field is so sad

I hope they all have a better life now and in particular the small dark grey horse, which looked very old

What did they ever do to deserve that?!
I don't understand how anyone could do that to animals

Yes ILPH is now WHW (world horse welfare).

This is very, very sad and unfortunatly only the tip of the iceberg. Charities like WHW deal with cases a LOT worse than this regularly.

Charities such as WHW, the Donkey Sanctuary etc do fantastic work and really need everyone's support just now. With the recession there have been an increasing number of welfare cases coming in like this (just on a smaller scale but animals in a lot worse condition), and there will no doubt be a flood of equines being handed over to these charities at the end of the summer when owners realise they cannot afford another winter.

I shall view it this evening with sound on as I'm at work, glad its been brought to everyones attention, I know people know its going on but constant reminders are whats needed to stop this carrying on.

If this encourages people to report concerns rather than pass by then the video serves its purpose.
Welfare Officers much prefer to go early to a growing problem than too late when horses are really suffering

Yup, this is sick. This happened about a month or 2 ago. Its in my area which is even more worrying.

Ive heard that because these people handed the horses over that they will NOT be prosecuted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
