shoe question (horses not mine!)

Hi, I noticed earlier that my boy's right front shoe has a gap between his hoof and shoe when he lifts his leg up and it closes when he puts it down, the shoe doesn't seem to be loose, is this normal or does it mean it might come off? I've got a lesson Sat and don't want him to lose it in the middle? He's only had front shoes on for the past few months. Thanks

when was he last shod, this can happen with Franks particulary if weather goes from wet to dry and hoof shrinks but normally only the last week before shoeing (week 5). He has never lost one when it gets like this.

If there is a gap that closes when he puts his foot down, it sounds loose to me! How long ago was he shod?

It was 20th July he was last shod!! He does have a habit of banging on his stable door and scrapping the floor though!

The shoe is loose, Id call your farrier and ask him to come tighten it, before he pulls it off.. as pulling it off will cause damage.
