Hi there,
My horses right hind shoe came off last week, and exactly a week later it has come off again! Its the shoe that comes off the most often and its starting to become frustrating, losing it again in the duration of a week is ridiculous! Does anyone have any advice, any "miracle" supplements or hoof dressings that improve the hoof? The thing is his hoof quality isn't actually that bad, so don't really know what to do!
Any ideas welcome :) thanks!

If it were me, i would be asking why that foot and not the others? That would suggest to me some sort of postural imbablance causing the right hoof to get stepped on a lot. Just an idea?

I have a seaweed/biotin mix but apparently it takes a while to kick in, I'll give magnesium a look. Well he's pulled off a bit of hoof last time so the clips aren't on much, but I've seen a horse's shoe attached to much less foot and its still on! Postural imbalance is interesting, I may have to ask my farrier to investigate further... I don't really want to take his hinds off as he does a lot of work over a mix of terrains and it may do more harm then good
