Shoe Secure? Thoughts

hi all

well my boy cannot keep shoes on for whatever reason - last one was 3 days before he got it off! We are dumbfounded as he has good feet and gets then clean off without twisting them etc! Bizarre.

So spoke to farrier today about Secure Shoe? Has any one used thenm - I see good reviews on here but am concearned about rubs if they get mud and grit behind it, farrier said that was his only concearns but otherwise good product and have worked on another big beastie who also pulls them off.

Perhaps your horse is trying to tell you something - have you looked at going barefoot?

Hi, my mare has really poor front feet and often pulls her shoes off. I have had her in shoesecure for 2 weeks now and so far so good. Very little dirt collects down the back, much less than would gather on the inside of your rubber over reach boot. She is out overnight and has them on constantly and no signs of any rubs. I do take them off daily to ride, check and clean. Over all a great product.

Yep another vote for them. My lad was literally losing a shoe every 2 days. Never caused a rub - but always used o/r over them. didn't have any problems for weeks and weeks and then one day he was hooning round for hours being a pleb and refusing to be caught (which is very unusal for him- must have been veryexcited about someting!!) Anyway he came in that day minus both shoe secures both front shoes and both O/R boots - big git. Not had any problems since tho xx#
