South West £80 full hot set inc studs , ace farrier wouldnt swap for the world he came highly reccomended through a friend and is worth his weight in gold wouldnt swap for anything :D however other people on my yard pay as low as £50 + £1 per stud it really does vary!!

Where I am in Milton Keynes at the moment it seems stupidly expensive, normal set with farrier 1 no studs is £72, with studs I think is a £5er extra. With farrier 2 no studs is £89 :O studs add a £10er. My boy is in bar shoes and gel which = £176 (normally £140). I wanted to cry!! In Watford its £70 a set, + £5 for stud holes! I swear half the cost difference is Im on a "posh" full livery yard in MK and was on a crappy but amazing DIY yard (bit more my budget) in Watford so they didnt rip you off!!

Mum pays £55 for her TB to have his full shoes. They're not normal shoes, but they're not too different to bump the price up (they're just the encourage him to lift his leg higher so he doesn't keep tripping)

I'm paying £15 to have my barefoot boy trimmed, and it's £30 for front shoes (i asked about them once for my boy, but farrier said his feet are in perfect condition and there's no need to have them put on)

Though, to be honest, I actually prefer the 'second in command' farrier to the main farrier. He takes more time doing each horse, which I really prefer. So if he were to ever branch out on his own I'd probably end up switching.

Sussex - I pay £61.00 for full set with road pins, (so £57 for full normal set). Interesting from these posts how the costs varies so much!
