Do any of you guys have 'special' shoes on your horses?
And if so, what do you pay?

Coz Max has egg bars and pads on the fronts and Arch has egg bars on the fronts. Ive just rang a farrier to get prices (coz we will prob have to change farrier now we've moved yards) and he quoted about £100 for Max and about £90 for Arch!!

We only usaed to pay £68 for Max and £65 for Arch!!

I pay about £80 for the one of ours that has roll toe bar shoes in front and normal behind. That is fairly reasonable around here for bar shoes too!

NB shoes every 5 weeks £57 & that's taking the horse to the forge. This time 2 years ago I was only paying £35, just a trim for my old mare costs £25. again 2 years ago it was only £15.

i have egg bars and Gel pads on the front and natural balance on the back, for a refit i'm £50 and for a new set i'm £100 so thats about right what your being charged.

i was paying £130.00 about five years ago (hand mades
