Stoopid rug ripping hippo ponies! Got a few massive rips in my rugs recently so have decided to buy a few lightweight no fill rugs that I can pop over the top of whatever he is wearing and then if that gets ripped it won't be so expensive to replace.
So....

Please please help me find a 5'9" L/W turnout - no fill - that is preferably 1200D or above? :o

Choice of fresh Coconut, Watermelon or home baked shortbread for those who can help me out! :D

Have you looked? Any preferences on make?

Have a look on Equestrian Clearance, Robinsons, Hope Valley Saddlery, Rideaway and many more.

Aye have looked but I'm a bit useless at this shopping lark tbh can't seem to find anything other than 600D in L/W :o
No preferance about make, just need something l/w thats pretty hard wearing because he manages to rip his rugs on his own and now some "helpful" ponios are taking chunks out of them too. Went to the field today to find hippo boy standing in a rug with a massive hole above his tail, showing his bum off to the world and a few other rips down the sides too

Thanks ghostie, I'll have a look for that one :D
Someone suggested Premier Equine at the yard today but I've had a look and can't find a L/W over 1000D :(

P.s why haven't they invented kevlar/telfon coated rugs yet? ;)

Invent them and make your fortune! I tried Premier Equine but really wasn't very impreseed - poor quality and fit and rubbish customer service. Love my Amigos though :) pricey but they last ages

Ha ha! could do! or if anyone wants to steal the idea, I won't mind as long as I get free rugs ;)
Oh dear I'd always thought premier equine were one of the better ones, especially as they cost an arm and a leg!

I have to comment as recently had to contact premier equine customer services who I found were second to none I also think they are a fantastic fit and quality- far superior to Rambo in my opinion and far far better customer service in my experience - sorry but really couldn't fault them

i have about 4 ripped rugs atm am in the same boat as you totally fed up getting them repaired thank goodness better weather is coming he can be naked!

Me too! Bring on the summer! :D
It wouldn't bother me so much if they were only little rips as I can repair those myself but the big rip I found today looked like someone had grabbed him above the tail flap and started playing tug of war! Rugs are too expensive to be reparing/replacing all the time, will have to invest in some foul tasting concoctions to put on them too :D

I'm glad you had a better experience than i did:) i guess fit comes down to individual horses, but I was seriosly unimpressed.

Oh that's a shame I've been raving about them since I purchased one at Christmas time ! Hope no ones took my reccomendation and been diss appointed x
