Hi,
Still trying things with new boy. I am now able to school in a french link with no flash and a standing martingale, he seems to dislike fuss around his mouth but the hackamore was a disaster, we just careered round the school for a bit! (in a gag and flash and market harborough upon arrival just to stay out of gallop!)
I am wanting to try a kineton noseband on him. I am not looking for opinion on the use of one, I have researched and taken instructers advice, I just don't want to spend very much at all as I am literally only wanting to try it, so many things haven't been any good for him that spending out on a new one seems pointless.
Yes he has been back, teeth, saddle checked. General opinion is that it's mental but can't get him an appointment with a pschiatrist as he is too fat for the couch at the moment so in the mean time I need some combination of bridle/bit to keep us safe but still go out and enjoy ourselves, (he does love a good party!!) while I work on his issues at home.
Does anyone have one I can buy for cheap? Or can any of you who enjoy shopping find a cheap 2nd hand one for me to try?? If this works I will have to buy him a nice new one to go on his posh party bridle anyway as I only intend to jump him in it, we are keeping it nice and simple for flat work at the moment!
