Thinking of trying a seat saver on my daughter's saddle. Saddle fits pony perfectly, it's a nice neat 15" Albion on a compact 13hh pony. But it's not the most comfortable saddle to ride in, and she has issues with sitting on her bottom, she tends to perch on her fork, and thus destabilising her lower leg.
Her twin sister, on the other hand rides in a JW saddle, which has a lovely padded seat, and rides like she is sat on a sofa! When she sat on her sisters new pony, her response was "great pony, very uncomfortable saddle" and declined to sit in it again!
So I'm wondering if a seat saver might improve the comfort for her, he is also a much bigger moving pony than her last one, so I want her to feel more secure. I was looking at the Acavallo gel ones, but are they gel-out ones too sticky for a skinny little 8 year old?
Any tips, and hints greatly appreciated, as always ??
