Last night a friend gave us something to help load the pony. She reckoned it was called an 'easy-loader'. 2 people, one each end, round his bum, apply a bit of pressure...& bam he walked straight in!

What's it called?! Could do with buying one!!

Thanks :)

A lunge line? ;)

I know there are specific products out there (and disclaimer, I've not used them so could be talking out of my rear) but seem to recall most replicate the use of a lunge line or otherwise seemingly have more disadvantages. Sure someone better qualified to speak will be along soon...

Lunge lines are no use, too tricky for my unhorsey father and step mum to contend with, this thing was really easy, no extra slack to get caught up! Nope that's not it, about £15 she reckoned haha! It was literally just a flat strap that went round his bum and pushed him in, about the length of a surcingle I guess!

I found a dually halter enormously with my previously bad loader. She'd try and drag me off my feet to avoid going on ramp. Worse when lunge lined as then she'd barge into you. Could do neither in dually without putting pressure on herself. After couple of trips she now just walks on.

Holy moly Miss Chaos... I saw a similar thing in my tack shop the other day, but it was all just canvas webbing. It weighed about 100g (not 6kg  ) and cost about 6 euros.
