I'm after a high viz (ideally pink but will take whatever colour really), quarter sheet that is waterproof but not fleece lined.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? All the one's I've found are fleece lined and hot pony will just get too hot but he's been getting drenched in his summer mesh version lately!

can i suggest you don't use pink. it isn't particularly visible. the best colour to use is orange - that's why the railways use it. i was driving to the yard just over a week ago and two riders were hacking down the lane, i barely saw the one wearing pink

I disagree actually, aside from railway use. I do wonder though, that's not more to do with the men not wanting to wear pink. Pink is the one colour that isn't found in nature that bright on mass so is actually better than yellow and orange which is very common particularly in autumn. My partner saw me from a long distance away in my bright pink hi-viz. He was surprised how good it was. Of course with all hiviz keeping it clean is important.

I’ve always found v-bandz to be exceptionally well made and keep there colour well. Not sure what they have in waterproof sheets though.

Share mare has a pink equisafety one, which is no fill and cotton lined (I suspect they might describe it as fleece but it really isn’t)

V bandz is really good and has multi colour so you don't have to only have yellow or orange or pink! The pink I have from them is very visible according to most people I see when we're out and about. (Including a small girl who assumed my gelding must be a girl due to how he was dressed!) ?

If you want a seriously fluorescent exercise sheet the weatherbeeta one is by far the most fluorescent. The others only have a couple of strips of fluorescent where the whole of this one is]

IME as a cyclist, 100% reflective sheets or jackets are great when it’s completely dark as the lights of oncoming cars light you up like a beacon. However, if it’s merely overcast or twilight, then a combination of hi-viz fluorescent colour with a decent amount of reflective strips is the best option and I agree with a PP that pink is a better colour in most situations as it’s not going to blend in with leaves or crops.

I got a very lightweight equi safety one for the pony for Xmas - yellow and pink. She is only trace clipped and gets warm so wanted something lightweight but they have a variety.

With my yellow jacket and her pink and yellow bottom you'd have thought we could be spotted from space but the amount of last minute braking makes me wonder how many drivers see beyond their bonnet.

Yellow definitely blends in with spring foliage and bright sunshine, wearing a mix of colours is recommended, I personally think pink is usually very good, but a lot of high viz dyes seem to fade, probably depends on the fabric. I have a very old VBandz yellow quarter sheet which is super visible. VBandz also used to make things with black and high viz stripes, they're very visible too.

Yes I have some old v-bandz stuff which is still bright. It is stored in the tack room which is dimly lit, so that might help prevent fading.

I used to have that hatband in yellow and still have the tabard in pink, plus a mesh quarter sheet in yellow. The hatband did fade, but the tabard is still bright (the bottom section which is out of the photo is Day-Glo rather than black) and so is the sheet.

Thank you for all the suggestions :)

My mesh sheet is V-bandz so not sure how I missed their waterproof one!

Re: colour choice - I do a lot of riding in woods & farmland so in a very orange-y landscape at this time of year. I don't use yellow in the spring or summer for the same reason as the landscape is too green! Pink is the generally the most visible all year colour choice for us..
