My Tb girl has demanded a new 6'6" MW standard neck turnout rug.
She doesn't care that I'm poor.

If you can help me appease her by finding a cheap/reasonable rug, she may not trample me to death tonight.

If you ring Hertford Horse bits, they deal in clearance stock so are often v cheap. I got two Weatherbeeta MW rugs plus neck covers from them for under £100. Was a few years ago now, but they are always my first stop for rug pricing now!

Are you rugging your horse still at this time of year??

It's not dropped below about 12 degrees at night here for the last few weeks. Where do you live siberia? Oh no that's where what's it's moved to I think in her siggi

Amigo's are great and good value for money.

I also really like the Mark Todd MW, my old rug trasher of a TB had one that lasted really well (it out lasted her

). I think a little more expensive than the Amigo though

Thanks, guys - but do the Amigos last well?
I only ask because the last one I bought was a 'lite' one, and it lasted less than a year, and leaked badly.

I usually like the Rambo stuff...

'Plant' - my horse has read your post, is not pleased, and you'll be hearing from her lawyers for defamation.

It was probably the 600d lite weight you had. If you have an Amigo lite go for the 1200d. They do a 600d medium weight as well but again make sure it's the 1200d and they are absolutely fine.

Oh, I don't know what d it was - it was a nasty peach colour if that's any clue?
I'll look for 1200d cheap ones, then...

I have a l/w 1200d amigo that I had on my youngster all winter (mean aren't I?!). It didn't leak once, so I was bit gutted he outgrew it! I'll def be getting another one (unless I decide to leave him naked all winter!!

).

PS I think the 1200d rugs are a classy looking navy!

Looks like 1200d is the one to get then.
And no, you're not mean - I rug mine according to their needs, but this is for my older girl, and she's always felt the cold.

Would recommend Amigo or Weatherbeeta Landa's. Also Shires rugs are good value and are very much like the Weatherbeetas. All rugs wash and re-proof well too. One of my personal favourites is the Rambo Duo, so versatile all year round, had mine for 3 yrs now and still like new!
