I'm looking for a cutback headpiece to fit an existing bridle - I have enough bridles - don't need another one!
The reasoning....
New chap leans going xc so I've put him in a Cheltenham gag which sort of works in terms of speed but not outline.
Last time out, I found the more I pulled, the lower his head got. On close examination, it seems that the soft structures behind his ears are particularly prominent/ exposed so I can imagine that the downwards pull of the headpiece was counteracting the upwards pull of the bit (if that makes sense?)
So I thought a headpiece that sits behind the sensitive area could be an option
And if he was more comfortable, I might be able to put him back in his snaffle. He's only in the gag because he's running on his head.....
