I have had a quick google and not found anything so hoping some shopping experts can help me. I normally hack out in a masta hi vis sheet which is fleece lined. Lovely for winter but too hot for summer. Has anyone seen or know of a mesh type hi vis sheet maybe with reflective strips on for summer road exercise please?

left over krispy kreme donuts on offer :)

Haven't received it yet so can't comment first hand, but I ordered one last week from v bandz - from the research I did it looked to be the best option. If a little slow with delivery (7 days and counting...!)

These are very well reviewed http://www.parsonsrump.co.uk/

I was going to get one but then I found a mesh 1/4 sheet at a 2nd hand sale which does brilliantly.

Edit - not the Hi-Banz one. More like those old style mesh sweat sheets you used to get.

v-bandz mesh in orange. And their dual colour neckstrap.

I ordered it a few weeks back, it came pretty quickly indeed (definitely less than a week). I quite like it - for the price, it seems pretty decent - hasn't slipped out hacking at all, he doesn't sweat up under it and it's pretty neon retina burning ;)

Terrible photo, but it shows how bright it is. The sheet must be 11 years old now. I do keep it in the dark when not in use.

Ah yes I remember looking at those last year. I had remembered tham as being expensive though and they aren't so I must have got them confused with something else

Thank you for all the v bandz pics. I guess it would sort of double as a fly sheet too I think I will get one. Do they come up as described sizewise?

I have the v bandz one in two tone yellow & pink and absolutely love it, having both colours in one rug works well when moving between light and shade and the varying colours of our surroundings - we get a lot of positive comments about how visible we are on the road:D

I've found it true to size and love that you can put it on without having to undo the girth :o

I have a Harry hall wrap around, I like it, it's a good fit for my pony and has a light on the tail flap which I like as a back up if I get caught out coming home when the light is fading :)

I bought a vbandz two tone tail wrap and I have to say its fab, I think I prefer it to a mesh sheet as I'm more likely to put it on.

Oh and the pink and yellow ear covers, they look awesome (ridiculous!) :D :D

Have you looked at a Parson's Rump. There is a web page or on Facebook. You can have extra reflective strips sewn on if wanted. I am very pleased with the three I have bought. I had a neck strap made as well.

I'd say so. But their hi vis boots are huge!

eta, I'm after a combi-brite for winter, but I wouldn't subject him to it in summer for any real distance / speed!

We dont really do either of those!! Why wouldnt you use it in summer?

Um, because we tend to hack quite far and fast, and I don't really think it's fair to put a non-mesh sheet on for that when it's hot...

eta - you have a mesh one ordered. They didn't exist last time I looked at them.

Ah that makes sense and yes I have I wouldn't hack in the other one in summer either

I'm now just slightly envious that I didn't see the dual colour one before I bought the orange. Although the orange is great, I'm just childish...

I bought an equisafety one for £15 in their sale and like it :)

I got one of these too, very very cheap in the sale and in a size I knew would be too small. I wrap the sections that are supposed to Velcro in front of the saddle around the girth straps so it's just a quarter sheet, and it works perfectly. Even on hot days when she's very sweaty under the saddle and on her neck/chest, she doesn't sweat under this.

I tried to post a link but it's not working. Just google equisafety and go to their sale bit. They still have some left by the looks of it.

Have just received an email from them - they placed an ad in a major publication a couple of weeks ago and have been swamped with orders as a result. She apologised for the delay, gave an estimated time frame, and said she'd add in a free gift.

Very happy with that service, especially as I hadn't even chased it up :)

I have the v-banz one and have been happy with it. It isn't entirely mesh though fyi. It is mesh lined so not like a fly rug. My girl has never got hot in hers though even in the summer and although it says not waterproof I have found it to be showerproof

That's strange m_g - mine is very much mesh throughout - nothing overlaying it.

eta: just noticed the phrase "left over krispy kremes". left over krispy kremes...

LEFT OVER krispy kremes :eek3:
