Hi, not sure if I can do this but I will not post a link, I have no connection to the company and TFC can remove this if there are complaints but just wanted to recommend a brand called Starmark, they do big, chewy, lightweight, waterproof and durable balls and balls-on-ropes - just fantastic, I have a very pooped puppy who has chased one all over the beach today and been in the river fetching it, great way to get him into the deeper water as he loves it so much - only problem is getting it off him :o oh well, have to get a second one......
They also do a chunky waterproof frisbee.

Feel free to post recent shopping 'finds' :)

Ooh, CC, that reminds me - the dogs won one of these in the dog show the other week, it's a medium so might be a bit small for a full-grown floof but they have shown little interest in it so you're welcome to it if you want it. :) It floats and the rope is really long so it can be chucked a good distance.

Have given up on toys for mine, Dax will grudgingly fetch a ball maybe twice and then bugger off, Ricoh goes mental for a squeaky tennis ball for about three seconds and then buggers off too. Oh, and he won't swim. He will chase a laser pen though because is deeply, deeply stoopid.

Will once again pimp Manmat for shoulder harnesses, collars and bungee leads and these long soft training leads.

If you click the first three links I posted, it takes you to the product page Lexie? And then I suppose Google the product you want and it will take you to Amazon, Ebay or other stockist?
Will do BC :o

Just discovered Orbee balls for my terrier, tennis balls last approx 3 mins and anything that is not solid even less. Was using hard rubber ones but even these he would chew and was concerned about the amount of rubber he was consuming :D Had to give him a new one every few days. He is ball obsessed! Which means he has perfect recall and will do anything if you have a ball in your hand so cant complain.

Now we can chew and chase the ball, no damage and they dont even look used, this is after a couple of weeks. They also float and bounce really well so great for the beach where we go almost every day. I got them from here, ordered before 3pm and they arrived the next day - http://www.doggiesolutions.co.uk/orbee-planet-dog-toys-15696-0.html

I've got one of the Orbee balls-on-a-rope too but Ricoh likes that one so Floofy ain't having it. :p They do seem really robust but the rope is far too short for my liking.

I resort to proper tennis balls (not the stupid ones that petshops sell, which last, oh about 3 secs with a staff).

My lovely dogwalker knows a lady who is part of the local tennis club, so we get the rejects. They really do last. Only prob now is new bitches trick (she isn't that int in the balls unlike the other 2) is she will go off an nick one of the balls... then promptly drops it somewhere else..

This is what Dex has- although he can still shred them if the mood takes him!!

I don't like tennis balls, the proper competitive ones have a substance on them which is abrasive to the teeth. The pet shop ones, crap as they are do not have the abrasive substance on them. They are fine for general fetch but I would never leave one with a dog for demolition purposes.
