As promised; pictures of my over zealous clipping moment on my spaniel..

Far easier to keep him clean so I think he'll be staying like this purely based on sheer laziness!!

Ah he is lovely, I too completely clip my boy and I leave his tail nice and fluffy. It keeps him cool and my house cleaner!!!!

Ah, i was starting to think I was the only one!!! I was quite ashamed of my attempts to begin with but the fact that he was so much cooler and the maintenance is far less is such a bonus. Does yours grow back fluffy in the winter?

As you say it keeps him cleaner and cooler - so he can hoon around for longer......

Otto looks a bit like that without the haircut!! Just a bit longer on top, plus furry pataloons and a hairy chest!

The way he attacks brambles, I like to think it gives him a bit of protection

lol, he was to being with.. that was an hour and a halfs worth of clipping tho!!

He loves having his picture taken, he always stands beautifully for the camera bless him

Is that otto clipped? How do you get it so even leaving top longer? I tried this and he looked like he had a doggy bowl cut!!

My boy is a t*rt so doesn't go through brambles bless him!

Otto isn't clipped, my Mum would kill me if I touched his coat with Clippers

He has a really lovely coat.

it does look really sleek; has he still got his bits though? I have been told the castration can make them go fluffy.
My mums full dog has a brill coat but the castrated one is a floof ball too!

Yup he is castrated, but he was castrated late and only a month or so ago, so there is still time for it to go fluffy!

I really hope it doesn't though!

get the thinning comb at the ready in case. I wish I had started on it the min his coat changed. He was castrated when I got him ata 8months and it started changing about 3months later when his next coat started to come through.. he was far hairier than you guy anyway so you'll hopefully get away with it!
