Want a pair of short boots that I can wear for paddock/riding/*cough* shopping....
Had a pair of Dublin Spirits last year which fell apart after about 6 months... they were very comfortable until the sole wore thin and I had to wear two pairs of insoles just to protect the soles of my feet from sharp stones. The bit that came unstitched was fixed with Superglue but when a zip went I threw in the towel... *sigh*
BUT, my short (ankle) socks stayed put. I have a pair of Dickies, lace-up safety boots but they make my socks fall down and ruck up under my feet (bleurgh! Can't BEAR that sensation) so I either have to wear long socks or a pair of those red feet-warmer things that you wear with your wellies.... so I either get hot feet or hot legs!
Can anyone recommend a good boot that won't make my socks fall down? Ariat Terrains or Telurides? Mountain Horse? I'd hate to fork out and then discover my socks won't stay up
(And no... it's not my socks
