I have always had mountain horse boots for the summer but they don't last at all and crack round the bottom so I'm on the look out for some comfy but smartish short boots to ride in. Preferably brown in colour.

Was thinking Ariat but whats the difference between Heritage and Devon Pro other than the price? Any other ideas? Like the idea of zip front too.

Devon pros are more comfortable, slightly wider fitting and have the gel in-soles in them and I think (having ridden in my mate's heritage ones) better grip too

Well worth the money IMHO

I love my ariat boots though they are the laced version and have this flappy bit on the front...I love em. I got mine from the States (internet), fitted a treat very comfortable £49

you won't get that deal in the UK

Well I love my MH windsor's and they have lasted me wearing them everyday for a year (and never cleaning them)
But did try a pair of Ariat devon pro's and they were lush wish I had bought a pair at badminton . But if you want a cheapy version just for around the yard the shires version are nice and look decent (they have copied the ariat look ) and have zips and are about £20
