I know there are lots of threads on this but cant find the recommendation i am looking for.

My youngster is not the widest across her chest and she has the ‘thinnest’ skin of any horse I have ever owned . She is a big girl (17.1 at last measure) and has plenty of space for a saddle (currently wearing a 17inch mw) equipe olympia with a sheep skin half pad which is my fave saddle and seems to suit us both atm. She has been in a fairfax girth (narrow guage) but the pointy bit in the middle (technical i know) is still too wide even without a fluffy cover and she is going to need a lot of fluff in her life and the point is going to cause rubbing if we carry on with it - we are v early days and dont want to cause issues… any ideas of a very stable girth for a young horse that doesnt have a pointy bit…

My littlest cob has one of the wow H-girths with a very narrow bit that goes between her front legs. It's quite padded so might be worth looking at

I had similar problems with the mule, she came with girth sores and elbow sores, i have now got a rubber type dressage girth. I don't know the technical term. But its comfy for her.
i had tried various different types including sheepskin coverings and this one has not rubbed her at all, even when she is wet.

I like these. Inexpensive, doesn't rub even on long rides on sweaty hot days, and can be kept very clean by running through the washing machine or a bucket of hot water.
