So I've just been to the yard to turn Chester out in my shorts and jod boots. Wasn't riding so thought why not. A few other liveries were up there looked at me like i was gone out!
 
I've been prancing around the yard trying to muck out in a little dress and flip flops today! Not exactly BHS approved but its so damn hot and I couldn't bear to put my wellies on!
 
Nope, plenty of people were wearing similar yesterday at the yard. I'm actually postponing going down to the stables, so I don't have to change out of my skirt and into my johds (am riding today). Plus, I'm hoping it'll cool off so me and Cas won't be dripping too much by the end of schooling :eek: xx
 
I always sport the shorts and boots look for the summer. Only put jods on to ride.
My personal bugbear is people hacking out in strappy sun tops. I see bare shoulders and Tarmac coming together which makes me cringe!
 
when I was younger I used to hack out in a bikini top with my full chaps on over the top of a pair of shorts :D I would probably still hack out in my shorts with my full chaps over the top but probably not the bikini top :D
 
I'm currently sporting the shorts & steel toe-capped boots look! Hardly see anyone down the yard anyway, so only get weird looks when I nip into Waitrose...! ;)
 
I've been going down in shorts and flip flops, only changing into boots when I'm handling T, even rode the last few times in shorts, though had to put chaps on to stop pinching :/

Too hot for anything else
 
We used to hack out and gallop the eventers in shorts, half chaps and biking tops when I was younger. Looking back, I'm amazed we didn't have any mishaps - but I guess things we re a bit perter in those days!

:D Very fetching, I'm sure! Many variations on the theme at the yard today, but pleased to say everyone was wearing good jod boots or similar! Quite a few pink shoulders in evidence, though!

Don't worry, though - it all ends tomorrow :(:(:(:(

^^^^:) we used to not bother with saddles as well if it was really hot :eek:
 
Yup, shorts and jod boots here too! Can't bear being cooking in jods unless I'm riding so shorts it is! Some in flip flops on the yard, they might look better with shorts but scares the life out of me - crunched off toes is def not a great look lol!
 
Hmm, some interesting combinations :rolleyes:

I wear hot pants and a strappy top with my short boots, then change in to leggings to ride in... I can't bear to wear flip flops, I don't want to be toe less!!
 
On thevery yard i keep my horse on it is a well kown fact that wellies or johdpur boots go with absolutely anything.
