Should a horse be sore after routine shoeing every 6 weeks. I've heard of horses being g shod every 8 weeks due to being sore after being shod every 6 or 7 weeks
You should have a conversation with your farrier and maybe consider hoof boots.
From your other thread I doubt you are in the UK so not sure what the weather conditions have been like where you are but here it has been dry for a long period causing some horses to struggle with dry hooves on dry, hard ground. Your farrier can advise on the best solution for your horse.
If they’re sore they’ve either had too much foot taken off or have been nicked with a nail. It’s never normal for a horse to be sore after being trimmed or shod unless something hasn’t been done correctly.
