this post should be in vets but figured more would see it here.
For the last week otto has been sound as a pound in walk and trot but is on 3 legs in canter. Another livery today suggested suspensory. Will be calling the vet on monday but wanted your opinions in the meantime.

TBH it could be anything, including a ligament - and trying to guess without seeing a video of him moving at least is stabbing in the dark.
Check all the legs for heat, swelling and tender spots and if you find any consider box rest until the vet has been, in the meantime don't exercise him and be guided by the vet.

Ooo lame in canter and not in trot... thats a new one. At a guess, and without seeing it, I'd say muscular as maybe its somthing in the mechanics of canter that tweaking something to make him lame in only one gait. Don't know tho.
