free schooled soph this afternoon and while we were sectioning off the arena looked up to see the dopey sod eating a peacock feather (the long tail ones) by the time we got to her she had eaten the flippin thing! i really can't see how she is going to digest it or why she felt the need to eat a feather of all things. Do you think she will be ok?

I'd watch her carefully for a day or two. Hopefully, the only effect will be that it tickles her bum on the way out lol!

She'll be fine; they're only keratin, like hair....and will pass through her in 24 - 48hrs.

She'll be fine.. mine wolfed down a sponge (one with scouring pad) and I was worried about it blocking stuff but she was totally find. At least a feather is organic
