I have a 14 week old male lab pup, I am getting slightly worried that he is too small, I weighed him today and he read 15lbs which after searching on google seems to be very low for his age they seem to suggest around the 20lbs-24lbs mark plus looking at other pictures/videos of 14 week old labs they are so much bigger!. We have another Labrador and I remember when she was younger being so much bigger at this age.

When he went to vets for his jabs etc at both 8 weeks and then 12 the Vet never mentioned anything that he was small he said that he couldn't fault him. When we chose him from the litter he was one of the larger ones, we met both his dam and sire both of them were average size, lean and fit (like a working field Labrador build),hes up to date worming/flea, eating fine (fed on Applaws medium puppy food), passing normal stools, shiny coat, bright eyed and just a typical puppy likes to play/chew with sleeping in between. He goes for walks now too with my other dog but only a short 20 min walk as he obviously tires quicker.

Anybody any experience with this? should i be concerned or is it just that he happens to be smaller?

My lab was a skinny weedy little pup as he grew- in fact everyone kept saying feed him up except the vets who said he was fine. He was a chunky pup at 7weeks old but he then went into a very long legged and skinny he still is but he is a good weight and looks healthy. I wouldn't worry as long as he is eating and you are giving him a good food he is getting all he needs he may just be small or could be a late developer

They all grow at different rates. Just keep a healthy balanced diet and if he is in good spirits don't worry :)

Also - where are the cute puppy pictures?!?!

So he's getting fabulous food, looks fab, acts fine. Why are you worried? Some dogs take a while to grow and just because he's the same breed as a chunkier pup, you shouldn't worry. My first two fit in the palm of my had at 7 weeks, the current two were like giant puppíes, took both hands to haul them up! They're considerably bigger than the older dog now, 7kg difference, much taller. Don't worry!

Where are the pics??
