Horses came in after being turned out over summer this week, and since my horse came in when mucking out his stable it smells really strongly of his pee not just a little stronger but like nothing i have ever smelt (makes me gag lol) sounds really stupid i have had him for years and he has never smelt like this is it something to do with him coming back in or could it be something more serious. He has lost his belly recently as well but he is a cob and is no way underweight.

mine always smell really strong when coming in, one of them smells like a mare in season but he is most definately a gelding, just give it a few days/week and it will prob settle mine does normally. I think it is just to do with the change in what they eat etc and new routine. I have never been too worried with mine as it does go pretty quickly

wow ive noticed this today too! I brought my boy in for a cuouple of hours to dry off and his stable absolutley reeked - like id not mucked out after him being in for in a week!
