Here goes, lets set the scene. I get the bus to and from work every weekday as I don't drive. As the usual with buses we go the same boring way each time !!!!!

Well, I pass this nice large field which is of good size, albeit over grazed. There are about 7 horses in this field with access to an additional equally sized field and again over grazed. They all look OK, although I must admit there is a grey in there that I would love to have a closer look at as it looks a little thin but nothing drastic.

There have been foals in there that I think are now grown and doing well etc in the herd. Hard to spot from adults after a while.

The problem is.....

RAGWORT - there is more raggie than there is grazing !! At the moment I think they are leaving it alone, but surely if they get hungry enough they will eat it.

But, I have never seen ANYONE with these animals and have no idea who owns the land etc.

What do I do ?? Can I do anything ??

I did a similar thing to you and went past a field with ragwort on my way to the supermarket. I reported it to the RSPCA and the next day all the horses had gone and there was a huge pile of ragwort in the middle of the field. The horses returned eventually and no ragwort was seen again - I think the owners just didn't know.
I would report it - I was glad I did.
