glad you're going for it! have a quiet word with a steward before you go in so they know your situation and then get in there and enjoy showing off the beautiful ebony Good luck and have fun
Go for it. I might be inclined if possible to mention it to the secretary so that the judge is aware. You may get more looks, but I have yet to see anybody laughing/putting down anyones riding at a showing show-Go for it.
No one will laugh at you. The type of folk who will probably be spectating will be us horse and hound'r types and I think they would be blown away if they actually knew what you have been through.
You dont have to disclose anything to anyone. Sometimes we all just need to feel we 'fit in' and just be the same as everyone else whether we have a disability or not. Best of luck x
If I can go for it at my local show I think definately you should go for it.
You have an advantage over me to be honest XD You actually know what the show atmosphere is like. I've only ever been to watch someone at a dressage comp so I have no idea what I'm letting myself in for.
But I handed in my form to say which class (I'm going for Novice as well) and to pay my money and the person I talked to just told me to have fun with it and don't worry too much and it'll all be good. So I give the same advice to you
I'm just looking at it as a fun experience for me and my boy ^_^ Only had him since April and I've been determined to have a good experience at this show!
Wishing all the best for it, and remember... we need LOTS of pictures! XD
