Ethel had the dentist last Thursday and it didn't go particuarly well. It was the first time since I've owned her that she'd had her teeth done and I don't think she had them done before I got her.
Anyway, she had the sharp bits of her uppers taken off and that was it as when dentist tried to put the gag on her she wouldn't settle and was on the verge of rearing up. He took it off as he was concerned that she would go up and over and as she has done it before (obviously under different cirumstances) I didn't want to risk it either. Dentist said she'll be okay for now but he won't be back in the area for another six months so my question is do I wait the six months to get her seen again or get the dentist I know can do it much sooner to do her and get her sedated before hand (other dentist recommended a gel that wasn't sedalin but I can't remember the name) I don't think she'll be able to be done properly without sedation and I'd rather have her sedated than hurt herself. Is there any point in getting a different one out or would you just wait for now?
