Should I get a breastplate?

I have a horse who's saddles ALWAYS slip when hacking (mainly when going up/downhill or on uneven ground) no matter how well the saddle fits her or how tight the girth is. Should I get a breastplate for her? I want to hunt her in the future so I thought it might be worth getting one for hunting anyway but I don't want to over tack her... Will it actually help?

Yep, a breastplate will solve the problem of the saddle slipping back.

Thanks I've never looked into these things as my two have always been basic tack and snaffle bits lol

What's the difference, in terms of how they work, between a 3 point and a 5 point?

Dont think there is much difference really, ive used both and the saddle doesnt move with either of them. I suppose with a 5 point you have something to grab onto if you have a sticky situation.
