should i give bute 2 my showpony

i qulified for a show pony final which is being held in a few days, my show pony has gone lame and this morning gave her a sachet of bute , this seemed 2 really help her and is now only a tad lame. do u think i should compete her? tbh i wouldnt ever do that to a horse but as it is just showing?

I think you've answered yourself! I wouldn't, but it's your pony, and ultimately your choice. There will always be another chance to qualify ( Can I be nosey and ask what you qualified for? ) But if she's still 'a tad lame' WITH bute, I definitely wouldn't.
