I've had G for a year now on a loan/share agreement - mine to do as I please except owner rides a couple of times a month (novice does a little walk trot hack that's about all) - kept at their house with excellent facilities and managed as if on DIY, just no bills for me, hurrah!
Sounds amazing and I'd be mad to pass it up but
1) I'm pregnant, although still want to ride for as long as can and have got a 2nd sharer to ride a couple of days when I can't and can just do yard duties/groom etc.
2) owner has started making silly complaints about things like where we pick out feet (into a bucket but he wants it done before they leave the field) and that we've not marker penned which horses rugs are which because he can't recognise his own from the livery's.
3) I adressed all of these issues (even though many not aimed directly at me) and in return have found ANOTHER stroppy note on the notice board accusing me of spreading poo around the field instead of picking it and having not done enough (2 wheelbarrows, leaving approx 1 varies worth left, I think that's fair)
He had seen me spending hours of my weekend cleaning and poo picking and scrubbing and tidying and I'm very cross he then had the nerve to threaten to 'get help in and charge for it' because me and livery are 'treating the place like its full livery'.
I put in so much work and my friends think I'm a bit mad to put up with it, esp with a baby on the way. Honest opinion please - should I jack it in and risk not finding as cheap a set up or horse I love as much as my big G, or try change situation, or just shut up and put up?!
Fruit loaf and cup of tea if you got this far
