Should I go for it?

Have been asked if I want to take a horse to a show tomorrow clear round jumping. Only trouble is I have never been to a show before and I feel nervous just thinking about it. Part of me would like to go but another part is thinking what of I make a prat of myself and fall off/ forget the course! Should I go?

Go for it, the clear round will start very low (at the classes I judged recently, the grass was longer than the jumps!).

You have to start somewhere, and you'll feel great afterwards!

Of course you need to go, it's a golden opportunity for you. Everyone feels the same way the first time they go out & there will be alot there who are just the same as you. Just go there, chill before you go in the ring & enjoy yourself cos that's what it's all about. Good Luck

I think yes. The first time is always by far the hardest, and screwing up is a given. Besides, if no one else ever screwed up I'd never win anything

. The main thing is, don't treat it as if it's life and death - in other words, don't go determined to win. Aim for a very quiet, steady round, and just take it all in at your own pace.

Yep, you should go.... everyone has a first show and everyone has a bad show, but the two dont have to go together

If you dont like it you dont need to do it again, but if you dont try it you will never know!!!
