My Daughter is unsure that she wants to hunt this season (She's only done 2 or 3 ever) as she fears our horses 14 and 15 will get injured.
True the times she has been out, something always happens. One time I came off in a bog and the horse was kicked, another time she was told she didn't have to jump and then it turns out there was no way round, so we nearly got lost and the 3rd time we left after half an hour as the horses were knee deep in mud and we feared a tendon going. I have been several times more and quite enjoyed it, but agree with her that on the hunt you canter and gallop on ground that we would normally avoid. But if we don't hunt, what else can we do during the winter? I really look forward to a good active ride with a few jumps. Do you think my daugher is being too cautious or should we look for another activity? If so! Any ideas?
