I'm about to put my cobx up for sale but should I mention in the ad that he is a little difficult to bit (he needs a piece of apple to tempt the bit in and it can take up to a couple of minutes or sometimes a bit longer)? He has come a long way since I've had him as it used to take me half an hour or so due to previously being harshly treated. He will also only tolerate a Nathe straightbar. He is also better with geldings in a field with him as he gets aggresive if he's in with a mare and other geldings. Should I mention that too in the ad?

I wouldn't put it in the ad but I would mention it to anyone who called. That way you're stil being honest with them before they come out to see him but you do have a chance to explain the situation & the extent of the problem.

i'd write turns out with geldings or alone.... that way you're not lying but people wont read it as '''cannot be turned out with mares'''.
And i'd explain the bitting situation over the phone xxx

I would mention it to anyone who came to see but not the ad. My newbie was tricky to bridle having had a headcollar rub behind his ears but 2 months on is fine now. I'd perhaps mention the turnout thing on the phone, lots of people separate mares and geldings anyway.
