Right well i've moved to a new yard, which is great.

The only problem is the previous person that had horses there has left all her stuff there.

Its been there for a year without her coming to get it, now shes been given loads of warnings, and the YO has taken some her of her stuff now after these warnings. She has also said i can have whatever i want, so i have helped myself to a few things.

Now she may still come and get the remainder of her stuff, should i remove my stuff from there, in case she says.... oh some of my stuff is missing.... ill help myself to this!?

I could just move my stuff back into the stable, until she comes to collect it. My OH doesnt think she will come at all.

make sure you name everything that is yours. wouldnt think she will be back tho, but i would bag her stuff up and give to YO to store. its not really your issue, just the YOs.

well she only lives just up the road, but she has left about 30rugs masses of tack and 7 saddles!! Who leaves that stuff??
All my rugs have ponies names on, but i may move my little boxes of stuff to hide it up a bit.

I dont think shes coming though.

People like that who leave so much stuff usually do have the ordasity to turn up after so much time and demand their property back, can you lock yours up? Really the yard owner should deal with her if she did come back. We tell our liveries to leave anything at their own risk but we do give them their own areas which they can lock.

thats a lot of rugs and saddles! if she lives up the road i would take them to her and get her to sign that she has recieved thm. you could also send her a letter giving her 14 days to collect otherwise will be sold .might pay your feed bill for a bit!! anything any good? but as previously posted more a YO issue than yours! what saddles?

theres a couple of western saddles, barnsby saddles, couple of GP's and a synethetic. theres is a hole wall covered in bridles and bits, and suitcases full of stuff, along with a massive pile of rugs,

my pony is now wearing on of her rugs, as he needed a fly sheet so i was told to use it! Lunge lein, a dutch gag, and a turnout are now also mine, as needed them.

im not sure who or where she lives or has her horses, but she lives in village apparantly.

Yea there's no way shes going to just forget all that stuff, she probably either has no where else to store it all or basically cant be arsed coming to collect it, I agree with an above post that the yard owner should send her written warning saying if the property is not collected within 7 days it will all be sold, she could even charge for having stored it all this time lol

I would definitely want YO to send a letter to her asking her to collect it - I wouldn't feel comfortable using any of her equipment until I was *sure* she didn't want it back.

when I moved my boy to a college I left in a hurry and didnt get of my stuff til after a month...the YO stored it in a lock up, as a girl moved into the area where it was stored...so I turned up had a bit of hassle from YO (not a friendly chap) got stuff but unfortunately left my decent h/w t/o but to be fair was broken and too big for my boy anyway so stuff it!

I would say after a year, it's unlikely that she'll be coming back to get any of it, use it but if she does turn up hand it back and say that you wasn't sure as your new...simple!! but thats a lot of stuff to leave, i wouldnt

Leave all her stuff alone. If the YO is renting you the stable it is up to her to move it.It is not yours and you only have the YO,s word as to why it is still there. Dont get involved.
