Earlier in the year moved my boy from home as I had no one to ride with and he was being a handful, he's now really lovely to ride and handle and he's grown up quite a lot now, he's 7 years old.
Anyway, this new yard now has no grass and we have to feed hay every day and he just doesn't look very happy, the school isn't light to I cant ride in the week, like back at home, and im paying livery.
Do you think i should move him back home with our other horses? we have loads of grass, I just done want him to revert to napping and being horrible like he was before, although I now feel much more confident with him.

If being on livery is making no difference to how often you can ride now but is costing you money, I'd take him home for the winter. Would you be able to move back to the yard come spring if you needed more facilities/company again when you get back to proper riding?

Yes, I'd move him back home. Slightly different but I moved my mare onto assisted livery (at a new yard) for a while as I was having serious problems handling her; after a few months the problems were sorted and I left to go it alone once more. The problems haven't recurred and if they did, I'd now have the skill and confidence to deal with them myself.

Thanks for the replys, im going to tell the yard manager tomorrow, il miss the people there but at least il have him home for x mas, I have my wedding in may as well, and I got told recently that we're being made redundant in February so I think its better all round for him and me.
