I keep my horse in a quiet livery yard where I am basically the only livery, it's really quite but super safe, with really knowledgeable people, great facilities and my horse is very happy and settled here.
The problem is I never have anyone to ride out with or train with or do anything with. It's getting a bit lonely. I spend way too much money on keeping a horse and I want to really enjoy it.
Before I moved up country at my old yard I used to have loads of people to ride with, we did jump evenings, went to comps together and yard bbqs. It wasn't a massive yard just a lovely bunch and I miss it so much. Just feels very solitary at the moment.
I have put posts up about if people want to hack out and that I have a spare space in the trailer if anyone wants to come out with me but no one has messaged back. There is a lot of retired horses in the area. I am with the riding club so have a few things booked in over the rest of the year.
Would I be nuts for thinking about leaving when he is so settled? The owners are also lovely.
