I have been offered a new livery yard which is slightly more expensive and bigger in the number of horses however seems really friendly and helpful and provides a small (40x40ish) indoor school, own turnout and as it was a working farm all the kit to clear muck heap, roll field etc etc. My bugbear at the moment at my current yard is the distance from stables to turnout, the state of the fields which haven't been rolled for 2 years and the school is wood chip which has turned into mud and is starting to impact our progress as the jumps are getting higher she is struggling to get impulsion and grip to be able to take off. Should I move to the new place even though its an unknown place and I don't know anyone there. It seems to tick all the boxes but as I don't know the people or the place am I better sticking to what I know. Your thoughts on moving yards would be great.

I would do what was best for myself and my horse, regardless if I knew anybody at new yard.

I'm assuming you've been to see this other yard, so you must've had it in your mind to move.

Why change your mind now?

I moved today so will update you in a week to let you know how it goes. Was met many times by the new people so all looking good so far.
