Since my thread about having to move things seem to have calmed down a lot at the yard.

There is a space for me at another yard I went to see but something in my gut tells me not to go. the owner was lovely and had a nice set up for the fields and the yard is near enough on my doorstep but the boxes were far from ideal. I just didn't get a good vibe.

The trouble maker ponies at my yard have been put into a separate paddock and are quite happy. The mares seem to have grouped off together and are all very chilled and fox is back out in the main field and seems to be back to himself. While he's out my friend is letting me ride one of her big horses so I have something to do. fox is looking a lot better and the cuts are healing nicely. The only issue really now is this other livery who takes no responsibility for anything and is utterly clueless about health and safety.

There's also the issue of my sharer. She's had fox for 2 years and she's done so much for both me and him. I couldn't just take him away from her.

Am I getting cold feet? My gut is telling me to stay but part of me worries that all this peacefulness is too good to be true. What do you guys think?

I've been told that this how the horses will be staying for the rest of the summer. It's probably just me being paranoid more than anything just dont want my boy go go through that again

Why not give YO benefit of the doubt and see how things go over the summer. When and if it takes a turn for the worst, leave. That way, least you have given YO a chance to fix things.

Can't really advise. But I have in the past jumped ship only to find a few weeks later things have been sorted out and I need not have moved afterall

There's no way of second guessing the future but there is something to be said for 'better the devil you know than the devil you don't'. Your YO will be more aware now & that is to weigh in favour staying.
