Should i worm Again?

I wormed my horses yesterday (equimax) and when poo picking today i have seen quite alot of small redworms in the new ones poo. Bit worried and wondering if i should worm again using panacur guard?

Personally I would ring your vet for advice. I wouldnt use another wormer right away. The equimax has worked as you have seen the worms. I expect that a egg count is the way forward in a few weeks time, do please ring your vet and discuss what to do next.

We had a case of worming and then a month later seeing worms in a horses poo (they were just appearing before 1st worming, loads had come out immediately after). Rang vet and they said worm again (because previous wormer clearly had not killed them all), then after that worm count in 4 weeks.

We did and all worm counts were 0.

So I'd suggest worm counting in 4 weeks. If you have worms coming out it shows the wormer worked. you just need to know they are not going to reappear.

Thanks for the advice. The equimax doesn't kill off all stages of small redworm which is why I was thinking of using Panacur as well.
