Should I be feeding my 8 month old filly any hard feed? Up until a few days ago I was giving her half a scoop of mix with carrots or apple in it. She is in a 12 acre field with 5 others and is a section Dx

What do you guys think?

Really depends what condition she is in?

When my youngsters are weaned I tend to get them on the best grass I have but if they need a wee help I give then Mare & youngstock and Outshine plus a good balancer.

Before our youngster was weaned we were feeding his mother mare & youngster mix, and she used to let him have a nibble. When his teeth came through and could start to eat the grass he would try and get as much as he could!

I would just make sure what you're giving here isn't too rich. But it shouldn't hurt. Ours turned out fine
