There is a RC one day event thingy this coming Saturday, one of the people who entered has pulled out and I may be able to get a place.

Now, I haven't done a stressarge test in about 7 years and neither has my big orange horse. I have my new horse who is competent at stressarge but I haven't done any on him (unless trotting in a circle counts?) and he is currently off work with kick injury although it is looking better and I could start riding again this week.

Sooo, my questions to you, dear reader, is; Should I enter orange one and work him very hard this week with the hope that I won't (a) wet my pants over the 85cm showjumps or (b) get into a fight with him about left canter/semi-circles OR give big accident prone beast the next couple of days to complete his recovery and hope for the best at the weekend regarding cantering in small circles OR just make my excuses and watch some television instead?

There is a showjumping lesson that I can attend on Wednesday to jump either one of them to assess their/my suitability to be allowed out in public.

:confused::confused::confused::confused:

Enter the orange one and wear Tena Lady in case of accidents. ;)

I'm sure no-one is expecting a Grand Prix test from you. As Martlin says, just go and enjoy!

it's not Olympics qualifier, is it?:D

:eek: What do you mean???? Is it too late to qualify or something? Oscar will be upset, he likes winning stuff.

Well I'm just about ready for it now actually, I pulled his mane and tied it over on the correct side all I need now are some white boots and the dressage is in the bag! Tomorrow I may try riding him although I am quite tired from today's work.

I have a stockpile of tena lady ready, white boots on order and a go-faster stick, anything else I may need? ;)

Hi,
Just go and enjoy it, and what does it matter, if its not perfect.... I ended up taking my mare Sunday out, not sure whether she was on three or four legs, came last, due to no warm up, but only 1/2 per cent difference in me and 6th place.m So hey, I said, just think what I can do the next time, so its All GOOD!!!!!You have to please report now, on how you get on.... Have a great time..it makes all the hard work and **** worth it!!!!

Aw, thanks Tamba! I know I shouldn't worry about it but I am one of those people who likes to (if not win) at least do my utmost to be the best I can be! I always say (to people who can take it)- you don't win silver, you lose gold! Also, there are a couple of people who will be there who, although they are very nice, tend to look down on me a bit even though my horses are mostly nicer/better/more mannerly.... shinier at least (?) than theirs! Must win prizes dammit!!

oh, I totally understand you there.... its exactly the same here, there are people who are so BXXXxy too, theres always people like that. and all hell breaks out if they dont get a rosette.hope you knock them dead.......(hehe not literally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hopefully Groom will be too busy taking care of expensive posh horse and expensive posh tack (the stuff that we've stolen off the back of other people's lorries) to carry trophies too. *Sigh* what a dilemma. I have learnt the stressarge test now, surely it's easier if I just do it on my own? The horse might mess it up.
