Should my pony enter for best condintion stable or grass kept?

she is currently out at grass but I wonder whether she would excel in stable kept class I am trying to upload some photos of her at previous shows

if she is grass kept then the grass kept class if she is stable kept then the stable kept class-the biggest clue is in the name of the class

*attempts to keep straight face*

As twiggy2 says, if she's grass kept then she should be entered as a grass kept pony.

Also stable kept horses nearly always beat grass kept horses in a mixed condition class anyway as they tend not to have grass bellys.

Thank you for all your relplies
I didn't mention I was a novice to showing (hence my initial question) my horse was a little fatty since she has been out on grass and has lost weight due to the field not being as lush as it use to be. She also has revel bloodlines ( I'm talking loads like 13 revels) and extremely pretty

Either way she could pass for stable kept or grass kept I was just wondering what the judges prefer ( fat ponies for grass kept or fine looking ponies for stable kept?)

Grass kept class if she is living out.

These classes confuse me these days as the variation in the classes at one time was that the grass kept pony would have a grenadier coat than the stabled strapped pony. Nowadays everyone baths their ponies so there is really no difference

I do so hate my iPad it changes what I write!

What I had planned to say was that at one time the grass kept pony would have a greasier coat than the strapped stable kept pony.

Years back we used to have to deal with the cheats who put their not so clean stabled pony in the grass kept pony class.

IME best condition classes bring out all the good doers in either section, so if your pony is a little plump you may do well. But maybe I've just had a bad experience.
